Year 1

Wow! Term 3 has already come to an end and it won’t be long until students will be making a transition into Year 2. The Year 1 students have come a long way and Ms Scaife and Ms Kundakci are very proud of all their students and their progress academically.

Term 3 has been very enjoyable as we have participated in various whole school activities, incursions and what turned out to be a fantastic excursion to Brimbank Bicycle Education Centre. This term we celebrated maths and literacy week. Another highlight was book week, the character parade and our gymnastics program.

In maths lessons, students have enjoyed learning about 2D and 3D shapes. In integrated studies we have been learning about living and non living things. The students completed a project in class where they were required to research an insect and present it to the class. In art, they have been learning to tape, stick and fold. One of the activities in which students enjoyed participating was making an object out of modelling clay.

It has been a very enjoyable term. Bring on Term 4!
